Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered

Steam demo

Godzilla.com schedules the Steam demo for October 15, 2026. The Steam news post then carries that demo through October 27. November 3, 2026 is the full release, so October 27 is the demo endpoint, not the day the game ships.

The news post names the playable choice as Gigan, King Ghidorah, or Godzilla. It does not print a twelve-kaiju demo roster. Local play in that post is four players. Online play in that post is a 1v1 match. The mode attached to the demo is Destruction Mode.

The start record names Steam as the surface. No demo date is recorded for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, or Nintendo Switch 2. A search for a PlayStation 5 demo lands on this Steam window.

Four local players and a 1v1 online match are the figures in the demo post. They are not printed as the lobby size of the full game. Match systems for the November 3 release sit on the brawl page.

October 15 is also the North American GameCube date in 2002. The demo start uses the same month and day in 2026. The year is the split: October 15, 2002 is the original GameCube release, and October 15, 2026 is the Steam demo start. November 3, 2026 remains the full remaster date.

Gigan and King Ghidorah are named as themselves. Godzilla in that same line is one word, not a chosen body. The strip under the dates shows the 2002 sheet's Godzilla 90's and Godzilla 2000 next to those two named kaiju. The news post does not say which of those bodies the word Godzilla selects.

Who the demo post names

The demo line says Godzilla and does not split that name. On the 2002 sheet the two Godzilla bodies are Godzilla 90's and Godzilla 2000. Heisei Godzilla is the remaster's default fighter, and that dossier uses the Godzilla 90's sheet name. Godzilla 2000 is the other body that shares the unsplit demo name.

1

Steam demo roster

The roster record stores three kaiju names, Gigan, King Ghidorah, and Godzilla, plus local play for 4 players, online play as 1v1, and Destruction Mode. Its endpoint is October 27. That is the published feature list. It does not add the other nine kaiju, a ranked ladder, or a second mode.

2

Demo start

The start record stores October 15, 2026 and the surface Steam. It does not store the endpoint. October 27 belongs to the roster record. Read the pair as one window on Steam: a start of October 15, 2026 and a listing that runs through October 27. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2 have no demo date in either record.

Published window

October 15, 2026 through October 27 is the span the two sources give. After October 27 the announcement no longer carries the demo. Nothing here checks a store button or an install.

Full release

November 3, 2026 is the remaster date, including the PlayStation 5 day from the fighter guide and the Steam coming-soon date. Platforms and prices for that release are a separate ledger.
