Steam still marks the Windows build as coming soon on that date.

Pipeworks Studios developed the remaster and Atari publishes it. Steam lists 12 kaiju and 8 locations, and each location has a day version and a night version.

Store list, unlocks, and the 2002 charts

Four store names

Godzilla.com is the later platform sentence: Steam on Windows, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. The June 10 reprint is where the dollars are printed. Digital is $29.99 where that reprint gives a digital price, the PlayStation 5 physical copy is $29.99, and the Switch 2 cartridge is $39.99. The same reprint still says Nintendo Switch. The later Godzilla.com sentence does not. Steam's price overview was empty, so a $29.99 Steam row is that reprint figure.

Any-order unlocks

Monsters, locations, and gallery items unlock in any order. The monster pool is the twelve-kaiju roster and the location pool is the eight day-and-night stages. Heisei Godzilla is already selected when a lobby opens, and that starting pick is separate from an unlock. The 2002 Adventure chain is a different set of notes, including Godzilla 90's clearing into Godzilla 2000. Those notes are not the remaster steps.

2002 button rows

Button charts on the moves page are the 2002 GameCube and Xbox rows. Rage Mode is named for every kaiju, and a replacement chart has not been printed. Gigan is the only 2002 row with two Rage attacks. Local co-op stays in the feature list, and online play is the addition next to it. Store pages do not name cross-platform play.

Lobby size

The October demo note listed four local players or one online opponent, plus Destruction Mode, through October 27. Godzilla.com had scheduled that Steam demo for October 15, 2026. The note is a closed window. It is not a claim that the demo installer is still live.

Godzilla.com scheduled the Steam demo for October 15, 2026. The Steam news post lists Gigan, King Ghidorah, or Godzilla, 4 local players or 1v1 online, and Destruction Mode through October 27. That window is a past announcement, not a promise that the demo is still installed.

Why Heisei Godzilla is the opening pick

PlayStation Blog names Heisei Godzilla the default character, the one a new lobby already has selected. The 2002 sheet scored that body attack 5, defense 4, speed 4, and weapon 5. Those four numbers are the old character sheet. They are not a remaster tier list.

Eight locations, then the legacy stages

Steam and Pipeworks count 8 locations, including real-world cities, Monster Island, and the alien Mothership. Each of those eight has a day and a night variation. Monster Island is the one with a recorded volcanic hazard: the ground damages a monster that walks on it. Xbox-only stages from the 2002 set are kept off this count.
